Cameron Lee Gray was born on July 12, 1971 in Brooklyn, NY, and passed at 51 on Saturday, April 1, 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was a loving husband and an amazing doggy daddy. He moved to Orange County, Virginia, when he was 13 and stayed in Virginia for college, graduating with a BA & an MA in Communications from George Mason University in 1999. Cameron loved radio – there is no other way to describe him. He worked throughout his college years at WJFK in Fairfax, where he met John Popp, who would be his brother for the rest of his life. While at WJFK, he was the Associate Producer for the G. Gordon Liddy Show and eventually Program Director for the station. He spent almost a decade with NRANews and worked for Westwood One and Audacy. Amidst all those, he was the Executive Producer for POTUS ’08 channel on Sirius XM – a job that gave him immense satisfaction. He’d work just about any radio job and would have probably done his favorites for nothing.<\/span><\/p>\n

If there was anything Cameron loved as much as radio, it was football. He started his football life working for Redskins Radio but spent the last 14 years at Compass Media Networks. Cameron decided to work seven days a week every September to December just to be able to produce football games. He was over the moon about getting the new schedule, traveling, and saving every single credential. You’d never know it, but he was apprehensive about every flight, despite taking over 50 per year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cameron’s personal life was full of poker, 70’s and 80’s music trivia, traveling for fun, and always game for a random road trip to anywhere. He is survived by his wife Loretta, puppy Luna, mother Judy, aunt Sue, uncle Nick, and brother Mitch. He will be cremated, and his ashes will be mixed with his first puppy, Vegas. A celebration of a life well-lived is currently in the works, the details of which will be posted on his Twitter account in the next few days – he’d love a final plug for his tweets.<\/span><\/p>\n
