Zach Gelb

NFL Sundays and Dallas Cowboys Play-by-Play Studio Host and Announcer

Zach Gelb, born August 9, 1994, in Long Island, New York, is an American sports talk radio personality best known for hosting The Zach Gelb Show on CBS Sports Radio, airing weekdays from 3–6 PM ET. His passion for sports radio sparked at age 8 during a visit to WFAN studios in New York, influenced by his father, Bob Gelb, a former WFAN producer and salesperson. At Temple University in Philadelphia, Zach served as sports director for WHIP, the student radio station, and anchored OwlSports Update on TV. He earned the Richie Ashburn Scholarship from the Philadelphia Sports Writers Association and a Mid-Atlantic Emmy nomination. During college, he interned at WIP in Philadelphia and worked as a radio stringer for Temple football games on CBS Sports Radio.

After graduating in 2016, Gelb became program director and afternoon drive host at WNJE-AM (Fox Sports 920 The Jersey). For the 2017–2018 NFL season, he hosted the Fanatic Postgame Show on 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia, covering the Eagles’ Super Bowl-winning season. In 2018, he joined CBS Sports Radio for weekend overnights, then briefly hosted on SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Radio and NFL Radio (2019–2020). He returned to CBS Sports Radio in 2020, initially hosting 6–10 PM ET, before moving to the 3–6 PM ET slot in September 2023. Known for his engaging commentary and notable guests, Gelb is also a Heisman Trophy voter and advocates for MyFrontPageStory.com. He resides in the New York City metropolitan area. [grok]
