Play-by-Play Analyst for College Football 2022
A versatile announcer and a sports radio veteran, Troy Clardy is a play-by-play voice for Compass Media Networks. Since 2015, he has called ten different sports for the Pac-12 Network, from football and basketball to wrestling and rugby, giving him the record for most different sports called by a single announcer on the Pac-12 Network. Overall, Clardy has experience calling play-by-play for 13 different sports.
Clardy can also be seen on ESPN, where his play-by-play work has included calling a national Arena Football League broadcast and announcing Little League World Series tournaments. He worked as the sideline reporter for the Stanford Football radio network at the 2016 Rose Bowl, served as the radio play-by-play voice of the AFL’s Pittsburgh Power, and hosted radio pregame & postgame shows for the Oakland A’s and the Stanford Cardinal.
Over 17 years in sports radio, Clardy hosted daily sports talk shows in San Francisco, Pittsburgh, and on SiriusXM. He also helped launch Sportsradio 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh as its Executive Producer. A Stanford graduate, Clardy lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife (Kelly) and their cat (Buster). Whenever he hits the road, he is always on the lookout for the best breakfast spot in town.
